Beervana

If you like beer, you’re coming to the right place. Colorado is home to more than 300 craft breweries. You may have heard of some of our beers – for example, Fat Tire Ale from New Belgium Brewery in Fort Collins. There are a number of ways to enjoy sampling the fare from these establishments. One way is to visit each brewery and buy a taster’s round. For example, the Fort Collins breweries can (mostly) be reached by bicycle (see Fort Collins bike rentals). Each of the 20+ pubs typically offers a tasting room and many offer a tour. Some of the sites such as Odell’s Brewery are especially kid-friendly. Equinox Brewing has an extremely varied choice of excellent beers in a pub-like setting. Boulder also offers an easy bike tour (see Boulder Bike Rentals) of many of their 20+ great breweries.

Closer to the wedding venue, you might consider visiting Oscar Blues Grill and Brew in Lyons. It’s only 5 miles west of Ya Ya Orchard in case you need to slip out for a cold one! Or take a look at Left Hand Brewing Company – one of my personal favorites – about 7 miles SE of the wedding venue. The Milk Stout Nitro is a great choice.

Finally, craft distilling is also catching on in Colorado with more than 50 offerings. The Front Range distilleries list tells all.

Most any restaurant in Colorado will offer local brews – so be sure and try some while you are here.
